Hey there travel buddies! Just got back from an epic adventure in France and Iceland, and let me tell you, it was one for the books!

First things first, this trip was extra special because Beto’s son joined us for his very first international escapade. Talk about making memories!

The three of us exploring Paris

In France we decided to ditch the stress of driving and opted for the metro instead. With our weekly pass, getting around was a breeze. We walked from our Airbnb in Montrouge France to iconic landmarks like Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, and the Arc de Triomphe. And of course we couldn’t resist exploring the Louvre and the Paris catacombs. Oh, and did I mention we started each day with pastries and baguettes? Absolute heaven! And let’s not forget the best ramen we had was at Ramen Wang – talk about a culinary adventure! Surprisingly, not speaking French didn’t pose any problems for us. Bonjour, bon appetit!

Then, we jetted off to Iceland where Jonah and I indulged in some serious retail therapy while Beto followed us around asking if we really needed to buy that! Thankfully Icelanders are the friendliest bunch, which made our shopping spree even more enjoyable. We tried some traditional Icelandic food, and let me tell you, ryebread ice cream is a game-changer! But not so much with the fermented shark.

While in Iceland we couldn’t resist visiting the the stunning Hallgrimskirkja church, which was conveniently right by our Airbnb. An oh, the Sky Lagoon was an absolute dream! They limit you to three drinks, and let’s just say, after one, I got a little tipsy. Cheers to a fantastic time!

Our journey back home its fair share of excitement. Our Flybus driver was an absolute hero, maneuvering through a complete whiteout to get us safely to the airport. And guess what? The roads closed right after we arrived. Talk about perfect timing – and thank you Icelandair for the updates to leave early! We did have a bit of wait due to a weather-related flight delay, but hey, it just added to the adventure. Three hours later, were were finally on our way.

All in all, this trip was an absolute blast! From exploring iconic landmarks to devouring delicious treats and experiencing the warmth of the locals, we couldn’t have asked for a better time. Until our next adventure, stay wanderlustful!
